Artist Statement

My work is a conversation with nature, using botanicals from my own garden as both subject and medium. Each flower is carefully harvested and preserved through a meticulous drying process that protects its color and form, allowing its essence to endure long after its bloom has passed. I think of these botanicals not as “dried,” but as “sleeping” — held in a moment of stillness, yet alive with memory and presence.

In my mixed media pieces, I arrange these preserved flowers alongside texture, form, and structure to create compositions that highlight both fragility and resilience.

The juxtaposition of organic shapes with geometric lines invites the viewer to pause, notice, and reconnect.

My goal is to capture the fleeting poetry of nature and transform it into something lasting, so that even in stillness, the flowers continue to speak.
